The work was based on field recordings collected on site during my time in the city and subsequently edited into a sound piece titled <em data-start=\"519\" data-end=\"537\">The Walls Within<\/em>.<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-788\" src=\"https:\/\/dantommi.net\/MyWorks\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/page1image6864.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"800\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dantommi.net\/MyWorks\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/page1image6864.png 600w, https:\/\/dantommi.net\/MyWorks\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/page1image6864-225x300.png 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The installation was situated at a location where the Berlin Wall once stood, now transformed into a small park with a commemorative marker embedded in the pavement. QR codes were installed on site, providing access to the sound work via smartphones and headphones. In this way, the piece connected physical presence at the historical site with remote listening, allowing the work to be experienced both in Berlin and elsewhere.<\/p>\n<div class=\"sc_fancy_player_container\"><audio class=\"wp-audio-shortcode\" id=\"audio-639-1\" preload=\"none\" style=\"width: 100%;\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"audio\/mpeg\" src=\"https:\/\/dantommi.net\/MyWorks\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/TheWallWithin.mp3?_=1\" \/><a href=\"https:\/\/dantommi.net\/MyWorks\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/TheWallWithin.mp3\">https:\/\/dantommi.net\/MyWorks\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/TheWallWithin.mp3<\/a><\/audio><\/div>\n<p>The sound that is part of this installation.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The project also includes an animation derived from the residual material of a laser-cut version of the same QR code image used in the installation.
