In 2011, I was invited to participate in Tombola Parksalon<\/em>, an annual outdoor exhibition in Azalea Park, Gothenburg, where invited artists realize site-specific works in a public landscape. For the event, I created an acoustic outdoor sculpture titled Breakfast, Said Victorine with Amazement<\/em>.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The work takes the form of a sounding \u201ctaffel\u201d sculpture\u2014an arrangement of suspended cups and vessels connected through a spatial structure, where brittle and resonant timbres interact and converse around an implied table. Activated by wind, movement, and proximity, the sculpture foregrounds listening as a social and spatial practice.<\/p>\n

The title refers to Victorine Meurent, the woman depicted in \u00c9douard Manet\u2019s Le D\u00e9jeuner sur l\u2019herbe<\/em>, invoking both the historical picnic scene and its transposition into a contemporary auditory setting. By relocating the shared meal from a visual to a sonic domain, the work explores conviviality, fragility, and exchange through sound rather than image.<\/p>\n
