Nordic Art Biennale, R\u00f6da Sten Konsthall, Gothenburg, 2001<\/p>\n

In 2001, I was invited to participate in the Nordic Art Biennale at R\u00f6da Sten Konsthall in Gothenburg.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

For the exhibition, I created a three-meter-wide half-sphere made of barbed wire, placed directly on the floor and filled with sugar. I then asked my seven-year-old daughter to make a \u201csnow angel\u201d in the sugar.<\/p>\n

The work held play in tension with danger and softness, while insisting on play as an act that persists regardless of its surroundings\u2014allowing a moment of innocence and imagination to exist within a space marked by restriction and potential violence.<\/p>\n
